people ue this thing just for opening large cans, tins, bottles. People uesd it in a grocers shop and they would get large tins about a foot long of corned beef. My mum was opening one when the opener slipped and cut the ligaments of one of her fingers. It was in a restrictive holder for 12 weeks which was really inconvenient
